Do It All!

Way back in 2013, while the blog was on hiatus; I was late to the party in discovering and listening to the band, OneRepublic. Now, if you know me, you know I’m a lover of the shmaltzy, sentimental, inspiring songs that make you want to turn up the radio and sing along. After listening to those types of songs, I can carry a little bit of that “feel good” with me for the rest of the day. Back then, I discovered OneRepublic’s single, Feel Again. To this day, it is still a favorite of mine and is even the ringtone for family members when they call my cell phone.

Last night I was searching for something to publish for tonight’s entry and OneRepublic came through again in providing me with another great song from 2014. I will admit, after hearing it and watching the video, I do recall when it first came on the radio, but I guess I wasn’t ready for it at the time. Last night, I was.

brian-ilivedThe video features a 15-year-old fan of the band, Bryan Warnecke, who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Bryan Warnecke talks about living with cystic fibrosis in the music video. Following the video is a call to action to give to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

OneRepublic performed a similar service with the video, for my favorite, Feel Again. In that video, they solicited donations for the organization, Save The Children.

Tonight, I’m asking you to take 6 minutes and watch the video for I Lived. Maybe you are in a place where you need a little inspiration. If you want to sing along, I included a companion “lyric” video of the song. After those; and as extra added bonus, you can watch the video that began my interest in the band, featuring young people from Malawi on the continent of Africa.

This is your “Saturday Diversion”. I hope you do it all and in the end you say, “I lived”
