F-The Word

THE FOLLOWING BLOG ENTRY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR WORK OR SMALL CHILDREN. (OLD PEOPLE SHOULD STAY CLEAR, TOO)

Way back in the 2000s, I came across a video in my MySpace feed(and no, I’m not linking to MySpace) about the History of The Word…Fuck. I remember that the narrator  was erroneously attributed to CNN’s Larry King.  The video was originally done with Adobe Flash.  Because, I wanted to post it for tonight’s blog entry, I went in search of it yesterday.

I did find hundreds of versions of the audio with new video; but I never could find the original video that I remember from years past. Tonight, you’ll have to watch one of the newer versions.

I did learn that the hundreds of versions are more than half attributed to the wrong people.  Without a doubt, those versions listing George Carlin as the originator, are wrong.  Those attributing the text to the comedy troupe, Monty Python, are most likely correct.  And, I am personally going with the opinion that the uncredited narrator is Jack Wagner; announcer for Disney Land in the 70s,80s, and 90s.  Many sites regarding the video and audio present evidence of this theory. I’m convinced

So, if you need a Saturday Diversion, take a few minutes and learn the history and the proper usage of the word, fuck. And if that is not enough, you can always, “Go outside and play Hide-and-Go-Fuck-Yourself”

Oh yeah, if that wasn’t enough and you you need a truly, “What The Fuck Was That?” moment, you can view the censored version of William Shatner  singing the cover of CeeLo Green’s ,“Fuck You”.

NOW, GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!
