It’s December and Christmas is on the way. As of this writing, only 23 Days, 5 hours and 49 minutes until the big day in my time zone. For the first time in EVER; I hung Christmas lights on the Robison estate. I admit, it doesn’t compare to Clark W. Griswold’s Christmas Vacation spectacle, but it is pretty. I’ve always wanted to do it, and this year, I decided to override the laziness and climb that ladder. This weekend,
we’ll trudge through the snow ride up the street to the Christmas tree lot and pick up the season’s greenery for the inside of the house.
On top of decorating the house, I am switching to a Linux-based server here at the blog this weekend, which should speed up some things and reduce some errors that the old server was having trouble correcting. I’ve “decked the wall” of the blog with a nice Christmas background that should change as we go through the month and I have added some Christmas-themed banners to give the place a festive look. You may experience some “down-time” during the transition to the new server, but it should be minimal.
I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that today is Antarctica Day 2017 and you should remember the folks at the bottom of the globe carrying out their work under extreme conditions, studying our planet and it’s environment and ways to move us forward under the guidelines of one of the longest treaties in existence. The link above will allow you to catch up from my blog entry last year.
So, continue on with your “decking the halls”; “hanging the lights”; and “rocking around the Christmas tree” and Welcome December!. It’s gonna be a great month.
And speaking of Clark and The Family, here’s what 25,000 Imported Italian Twinkle Lights look like…
